Juneau County Register of Deeds
Online Access to Real Estate Records

LandShark is a web-based tool for the location and retrieval of land record documents. With LandShark, you can search for land record documents and, if the document is available on our system, actually view the document on your computer.  The fee for viewing a document is $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page that you choose. Fees are assessed to pay for support and maintenance of the system.  There are no refunds given to anyone.

Landshark User Instructions

  1. Click on Landshark under the website

  2. On Right hand side of screen click on the link to Register as a new user.

  3. Enter a username and password of your choice. (user ID must be 10 or less letters)

Search Options:

Document #: Enter in the document given.

Click open the document and click on the Image button if that is the document you want to view. When you click the image button you will need to enter your credit card information.  Once you enter your credit card information you will be brought back to hit the image button again. Here you can decide what pages you want to view. You will only be charged for the pages you view. $2 for the first page and $1 for each additional page of each document.  Click Download.  Once your image appears hit print and/or save. If you go out of this document without saving or printing you will be charged again if you try again. If this is the case, call the Register of Deeds office at 608-847-9325. We can see if you have been charged and email you the copy.

There will be a $5.00 surcharge fee per log in with the purchase of a document. If you log out and log back in you will be charged the $5 fee if you download another image.  If you are looking at multiple images at one time per log in you will only be charged the $5 the one time.  You will not be charged the $5 if you do not look at an image. If you open an image you will be charged the copy fee even if you did not want that copy.

Gtr/Gte: Enter in last name first to find all documents 1999 to present with that last name.

Legal: if you know exact legal you can enter it here to find documents that have been recorded with a certain legal description. You will get multiple options here.

Vol/page: You will need a 3 digit vol and page. If the vol and page only has 1 or 2 digits, add a zero in the front of the numbers.

CSM’s: To search for a Certified Survey Map by map # use the Legal tab.  Once there click on Plats-Lots/Blocks. Under the first box next to the word plat enter the CSM Map #. You must add a 2 to the front of the number. If the map # isn’t 4 digits long you will need to add zeros to make sure it is. Example: map # 3466, search 23466. Example: Map #46, search 20046.

When putting in your Credit Card information there will be a message for a $50 preauthorization. You will NOT be charged this fee. This is only a preauthorization to verify funds on your card in case it is a multiple page document.

Privacy Policy

Juneau County will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others.  Juneau County does not share your personal information with companies working on our behalf.  Credit card information is used only for payment processing and fraud prevention.  Credit card information and other sensitive personal information required to process a credit decision is not used for any other purpose by our financial services providers or Juneau County and will not be kept longer than necessary for providing the services.
